The director of the “Khakassky” reserve, Kiselev Gennady Viktorovich
Federal public agency “The “Khakassky” State Natural Reserve” is nature conservation, scientific-research and ecologic-educational establishment of federal importance.
The protection of the nature complexes and objects on the territory of the reserve is implemented by the special state security inspection of the reserve, which workers compose the staff of the Security Department of the reserve.
The scientific-research activity in the reserve and its protected territories is aimed at the studying of the nature complexes and prolonged monitoring of the nature processes dynamic for the purpose of estimating and prognosticating of the ecological situation; development of the scientific bases of the nature protecting, preserving the biodiversity, reproduction and sustainable use of natural resources.
The ecologic-educational activity of the reserve is aimed at the providing of the reserve’s ideas with supporting by the broad cross-section of the population as the necessary condition of the rezerve’s tasks realization; providing assistance in solving regional environmental problems; participation in forming the ecological consciousness of people and ecological culture development. The organization and implementation of the ecologic-educational activity is carried out by the special department of the reserve – The Ecological Education Department.
